Community Involvement

Involvement in our communities has always been a corporate priority. Our team members comprise those communities and they - our team members and the communities - comprise our future. We believe the donation of time and energy is as important as financial gifts. So we actively encourage our team members at all levels to play meaningful roles in groups we believe in. A number of ongoing programs provide the time and direction necessary to make an impact. These activities are mutually beneficial — they allow us to bring fresh perspectives and ideas back into our own organizations.

In 2019, team members logged approximately 26,000 plus volunteer hours of community service with 336 non-profit organizations.

One way we accomplish our philanthropic goals is through board involvement by our team members. We encourage team members to fill active volunteer board positions with eligible non-profit organizations. Currently, 36 Koch team members serve on more than 90 non-profit boards. Their involvement continues to carry forward our commitment of being good stewards to the community. Some organizations that benefit from our board involvement include:
