Koch Names 2012 Scholarship Winners

The selection committee, consisting of the President of UE, President of USI, the Catholic Schools Superintendent, and the Evansville Vanderburgh School Superintendent, awarded the following Koch Foundation Scholarships awards:

Shelby Marie WilkinsonShelby Marie Wilkinson, daughter of Nick Kuzo employed at Brake Supply, is this year's recipient of the Robert L. Koch Scholarship. Shelby is the student council president at Castle High School. Besides being a student leader, she is at the top of her class in academic performance. She finds time to volunteer and serves as a tutor for younger students. She will attend Purdue University in pre-pharmacy.

 

Haley Elizabeth ClementsHaley Elizabeth Clements, daughter of Chris Clements employed at Koch Air, is this year's winner of the Mary L. Koch Scholarship. Haley achieves at a high level in her classes at Princeton Community High School while serving her community in meaningful ways. She is an accomplished writer for the school newspaper as evidenced by the awards she has received. Her career plans include attending Indiana University and majoring in business or law.

The parents of the winners have been notified and their award letters are in the mail. Also letters have been sent to all other applicants thanking them for their participation and informing them of the decisions.

 

Each Scholarship Award is for a total of $10,000 paid over four years of school.
